Custom Stage 2 Audi A5 3.0 Tdi being built at NVM
The Audi 3.0 Tdi V6 is an immense piece of engineering. Combining a diesel turbocharged V6 with 241bhp and 369 lb/ft with quattro makes it a great base for tuning.
The Stage 2 consists of:
- Custom Stage 2 ECU mapping
- Large FMIC
The combination of these parts and precise tuning is what gives it the unique sound and performance. Fabricated the FMIC is necessary so it fits snuggly behind the OE front bumper and grille:
The downpipe has to be the most restrictive part of this engine and replacing it with a uniform 76mm catless version allows us to increase EGT’s (exhaust gas temperatures) safely without harming any other components.
Bespoke mapping turning off the EGR valve and various pressure sensors before winding up the fuelling and boost is important. The reult is a stomach churning 328bhp and 429lb/ft
