BMW M140i – NVM B58 Stage 2 Package with Scorpion Exhaust System.

The NVM B58 Stage 2 Package is the perfect combination of bespoke hardware and tuning to allow for maximum power and torque from your B58.

One of the most restrictive components is the OEM Downpipe because it is home to the B58’s catalytic converter. The inside of a catalytic converter is like a mesh filter which creates significant air flow limitations. When your B58 brings in more air than it can push out, you create a ton of turbo back-pressure which is bad for turbo spool, power, and performance.

The NVM B58 Shielded Decat Downpipe provides a hollow pipe to allow the air to flow freely through the exhaust. It is finished in F1 standard heat shielding to help reduce engine bay temperatures, heat soak and faster gas expulsion from the Turbo.

While just upgrading your downpipe will still provide a meaningful power increase, the benefit is amplified when used in conjunction with other modifications. More specifically: an upgraded air intake, and a tune.

The Burger Motorsport Intake was fitted for maximum intake and sound.

When you send more air into the inlets, the air pressure increases, which means the turbo doesn’t have to work as hard compressing the air. The end result is a more efficient turbocharger which can pump compressed air into the engine more quickly, creating more power.

The OEM plastic charge pipe has been upgraded to the NVM B58 Aluminium Charge Pipes. In instances where the B58 is running a tune and above stock boost levels, it is not uncommon for the OEM charge pipes to fail.

They can often snap apart where the flange meets the tube when introduced to increased power and boost pressure.

Finally, the added extra of a Scorpion Cat-back exhaust system was fitted to further improve air flow and sound. All scorpion systems are manufactured from T304 high grade stainless and are covered with a lifetime warranty.

Each system is a direct fit to the factory OE exhaust system and comes complete with a fitting kit. The Scorpion systems are slightly bigger in bore size and are less restrictive than the standard exhaust therefore are more efficient and help to release approx 10-12% more power!
